TL;DR: We're sharing photos of high-quality 3D print samples + status update!
We have the entire host of buildings printed for our approval and sent to us for review as we go. Here are the first two approved sculpts - these are the brutalism style (Vera Mukhina / Lina Bo Bardi.) Please note: these are high-quality 3D prints. The final models will vary from this a little bit, and some details will be slightly less pronounced after the mold-making process.
Other Notable Items Still in Progress:
Print components and proofs continue to be iterated on.
3D Island boards are in the late stages of editing to prepare for the mold-making process.
23 Dec - Happy Holidays! More Component Samples Have Arrived

TL;DR: We're sharing more photos of the component samples including the wood buildings + status update!
Almost all pieces are in the late stages of approval! Specifically of note: We have given approvals now for all the 3D tower designs! Next, we will receive high-quality prints of them to examine in person, then when we approve those, the factory will begin mold making!

The 3D map is far along but still being iterated on.
The wash on the 3D buildings is still being tweaked.
Plastics samples for review
The final box prototypes are being made so they can be sent to us for review.

Behind the Scenes: The center island is missing from the shot above. This is because the fit of the interlocking elements wasn't perfect on the first proof provided. This is part of the process which we iterate on. The manufacturer is making us a second sample, which will fit perfectly after their revisions.
- Foil color samples are also in!
They look very amazing, and we are still working on selecting our favourites.

29 Nov - Extending Pledge Manager Close & Charge Dates

TL;DR: A quick update to let you know we have pushed the pledge manager close date again to allow more time for wash samples to arrive.
As you know, we had expected to have the wash samples by now to share with you to help you decide if you wanted to add this to your pledge. We got them, and they were not right, and the factory is working up new samples for us.
We’ve pushed the date back again on Backerkit to allow more time for you to make an informed decision about adding the wash to your copy of Skyrise.
We plan to lock down BackerKit surveys on Tuesday, January 10th, and charge cards on Thursday, January 12th. Please update/mark your calendars accordingly!

TL;DR: Nothing new to report right now. We are still working on getting updated samples of the wash from the factory and plan to share them as soon as they get to us.

Just a quick touch base to let you know how things are going. Nothing new to report this week. 3d files are still going back and forth. The wash samples are being worked on/updated so we can show them to you.
We plan to lock down BackerKit surveys on Wednesday, Nov 30th however the lack of our wash samples MAY adjust this plan again. If it DOESN'T, we will charge cards on Thursday, Dec1st. Please update/mark your calendars accordingly!
